Skills Development:
Skills Development Program for hitting, fielding, catching & pitching.
​
- Hitting (techniques, comfort and confidence in the batters box. Selective/Aggressive approach at home plate, timing, rhythm, balance, swing path, and more.)
- Fielding (footwork & technique drills for infielders, outfielders & catchers. Throwing program to the bases, focused on situational defense, footwork, angles, glove work, soft hands, increase range.)
- Pitchers (Basics mechanics for youth players, arm development, pitch count limits, knowledge of how to take care the arm and more.)
- A lot of reps.
Fundamentals:
Each day we will focus on teaching one or two subjects giving the knowledge to the players to succeed in this game.

- Bunting situation (defensive & offensive)
-Cutoff & relays / double cut off
- PFP (Pitching Fielding Practice) & pick off moves to the bases (Pitchers)
- First & third plays (Defensive) (Catchers)
- Base running (stealing bases, primary & secondary lead, tag on sacrifice fly balls.)
- Learning the fundamentals of teamwork, group discipline and sportsmanship.
- Understanding what it means to compete.

- Home Run Derby
- Double Play Competitions
- Relays & Cutoffs Competitions
- Speed & Agility Competitions

Coach Speech:
Every day coaches will have a speech to the players and each day we will pick a topic such as:

- Recruitment process to High School & College as a baseball player.
- Sport psychology (the importance of confidence)
- The importance of strong academics.
- How to be a good teammate WE > ME.
- The life of a baseball player in High School, College & Professional level.
- Game situation tests.
Game Time
- The 4 teams will be playing every day in tournament format (Friday will be the championship game)
- Games situation - The goal is for the players to apply the fundamentals they learned on the respective day.
- Campers of the day will be awarded for each team.
D-BAT's goal is to TEACH the fundamentals at the Prospects Summer Camp.

- First Baseman (Covering First, Bad throws, Footwork to throwing the bases, Pickups drills, Short hop, Glove work)
- Catchers (Blocking/ Lateral Movement Drills, Footwork to the bases drills, Framing drills, Eye / hand coordination drills, Transitions drills, Pop time program to second base.
-Outfielders (Outfield - Drop Step - Inside Step, Drop Step - Turn Your Back, Get the Angle, Sun Ball, Team Cutoffs, Shallow Fly Balls, Fly Ball Communication
- Pitchers (Basic & extensive mechanics for pitchers, Arm development speed program, pitching recovery program, knowledge of how to take care the arm, PFP - Pitching Fielding Practice and more.)
-Speed & Agility (Preparation for 60 yards dash, Running the bases & Stealing program).

- Metrics Evaluations (Hitting Exit Velocity, 30-yard dash, 60-yard dash, 5-10-5, Pop time for Catchers, Arm velocity for Infielder, Outfielders & Pitchers)
- Showcases Simulations (we will prepare players for a tryout and we will hold a tryout simulation, where the players will be exposed high school coaches)

This camp is designed and managed by Coach G, D-BAT Director of Baseball Operations

OUTDOOR SOFTBALL CAMP
Instruction on all fundamentals of the game.
​
Hitting: swing techniques, increase bat speed, build confidence in the box, pitch selection, develop aggressive approach at the plate, timing/rhythm, swing path, live hitting and more.
Fielding: throwing progression, gain arm strength, situational defense, proper footwork for infielders & outfielders, develop soft and quick hands and live reps
Pitching: proper pitching mechanics, command, pitch sequence, build mental toughness and live pitching.
Also included: base running, bunting/slapping, relays and cut off plays from the outfield, double play defense and techniques, catcher throw downs, first and third defense coverage and base running. Lots of competition, fun & games; Individual and group skills competitions and live games
Will be grouped by age and skill level and work in small groups for specialized instruction. There will be an emphasis throughout camp about playing the game with a purpose, pushing yourself to work hard and get better, develop proper routines and habits to become a better player, playing with confidence and learning to COMPETE and want to WIN!
